I'm John Hayhurst, based in Didsbury, Manchester. My professional interests span finance and M&A, where I'm drawn to the strategic logic behind transactions and the value they can create for businesses and people alike.

EdTech is an area I find particularly compelling — the intersection of technology and education has the potential to democratise learning and change lives at scale. I follow this space closely and am always interested in what's emerging.

Outside of work, sport is a constant. Whether playing or following, it provides a lens on competition, discipline, and the pursuit of marginal gains that I find applies everywhere.

Above all, I believe in doing things simply and efficiently. Complexity is often the enemy of progress.
